Folks: This is just to try to give you some idea of how a spiral builds. Think of it as a winding staircase, wrapped around a central pole. The variations are nearly endless and by changing the number of beads in the spiral grouping, or the size & type of beads, you can alter the whole look of the rope. Click to enlarge.
